A dissolving microneedle patch for mRNA vaccination

Tang Z, Su T, Jiang T, et al.

Dissolving microneedles preserved SARS-CoV-2 mRNA lipid nanoparticles for at least 30 days at room temperature under study conditions. The team also measured immune responses in mice after skin delivery.

Freeze-drying for dissolving microneedle fabrication

Su T, Tang Z, Hu J, Zhu Y, Shen T.

Freeze-drying produced porous needles, followed by coating and insertion testing. With insulin as a model payload, the freeze-dried patch retained more insulin during accelerated storage.

Microneedle delivery of tacrolimus nanocrystals

Men Z, Su T, Tang Z, Liang J, Shen T.

Sodium hyaluronate microneedles carried tacrolimus nanocrystals for local delivery. The formulation was evaluated in a mouse model of psoriasis-like skin inflammation.

Human pharmacokinetics of a tetramethylpyrazine patch

Shen T, Xu H, Weng W, Zhang J.

In a crossover study in healthy volunteers, the tested tetramethylpyrazine patch and oral tetramethylpyrazine phosphate regimens produced similar steady-state exposure. The study also evaluated in vitro–in vivo correlation.
